Innovating the Hype.codes tech media portal

The challenge

The founders of Hype.codes approached us with the goal of building a media portal that would present the most up-to-date and relevant news on programming technologies, tech innovations, and blockchain and cryptocurrency development. The client had partnered with other media companies, cryptocurrency leaders, and online content creators, and they were striving to dominate the technology-related media market. We had three months to develop an impressive portal with a vastly different design and identity than its competitors. They were seeking a partner who could deliver a website that accurately reflected their ethos of something “new, stylish, unique” and featured a streamlined, user-friendly structure to ensure that readers did not miss any important news.

Design and development

The Hype.codes team wanted to use the open-source Drupal platform, since it facilitates the building of amazing digital experiences and is more convenient and affordable than other solutions that the market has to offer. We used technologies like Drupal and Bootstrap to ensure that the content creators and the users would get the best experience both on desktop and mobile devices, as the portal was made responsive and compatible for all devices.

We wanted to make sure that the Hype.codes team had a practical, user-friendly admin panel, so we integrated a convenient content management system. We also added a feature that ensures that advertisements and news banners on the portal do not negatively affect the interface or the structure of the news sections. The portal needed to be easy to navigate, so we utilized intuitive browsing features and inserted the search option in the header of every page.
