In July 2024, Saint Petersburg hosted one of the largest conferences dedicated to high-load systems, Saint HighLoad++. Held at the Design District DAA on June 24th and 25th, the event gathered professionals from the leading technology companies to discuss the technologies that enable efficient service to millions of users.

Evrone's CTO, Alexander Kirillov, spoke in the section on various languages, sharing insights on what Go can learn from Rust. In his presentation, he explained how popular idioms and development practices from Rust could be incorporated into Go projects. Alexander believes that building services in Rust can be as straightforward as in Go, but with its own unique characteristics.

As the CTO, I have spent many years assisting various organizations in developing microservices, primarily using Go. However, I've observed that the best developers are those who look to other languages and adopt successful methods and approaches from them.
