Neuropsychology and Tarot: A Recap of the Fall Evrone Fest
In 2024, we decided to break the tradition of holding Evrone Fest in the summer. Instead, our annual gathering for employees, clients, and friends took place in Moscow on September 21. We caught the last warm days of the season, so we were lucky not only with our guests but also with the weather.
This time, Yauza Place restaurant hosted us, with more than 300 attendees. In addition to several lounge and dining areas, we set up multiple studios for content creation and entertainment activities. The theme of the party was the "Oscars," with guests entering through a red carpet photo zone featuring Evrone movie posters. The venue also had a mini-cinema, and an interactive quiz led by the host focused on the company's history and superhero films.
For those who wanted to create their own content, we had two studios for shooting short videos — one with a green screen and props. In the main hall, we filmed two episodes of our YouTube podcast, OR, where we discuss current industry issues with colleagues from tech companies. One episode featured Alexander Kaplan, head of the Laboratory of Neurophysiology and Neuro-Computer Interfaces at Moscow State University, who spoke with our DevRel, Grigory Petrov, about the future of neurointerfaces. The second episode was a "failure show" where guests from partner companies shared their most memorable mishaps.
The fact that our friends and colleagues from the industry not only came to relax with us but were also willing to participate in the show and openly discuss their 'failures' says at least two things: we know how to build friendships, and the professional community truly trusts us.
Meanwhile, throughout the evening, a casino was set up where the games were played solely for chips, and a tarot reader offered readings for those interested. Later, there was an awards ceremony for various achievements, such as outstanding sommelier skills or the best costume, and the night ended with a giant cake and karaoke.
For us, Evrone Fest is more than just a corporate event. For a remote team, it’s crucial to meet face-to-face at least once a year and connect in person. Often, people who have worked together on shared tasks all year meet in person for the first time at the fest. Plus, we always invite our clients and friends from the industry so they can get to know the team better, discuss joint projects, and come up with new ideas.
