Offline Meetup on Large-Scale Python Projects
Evrone recently hosted a new offline meetup focused on Python at the main campus of Voronezh State University (VSU). We invited our team members and colleagues from other IT companies to share insights and experiences.
The event was moderated by Evrone’s CTO, Alexander Kirillov. Evrone Senior Developer Ilya Soltanov discussed a project for SberMarketing, where we managed to boost a Python system to handle 100k RPS. Polina Krikova from Surf spoke on multithreading, while her colleague Artyom Sakovsky covered automation. Ivan Vyalyov from Red Collar shared his experience adapting Wagtail for large-scale projects.
In addition to talks, our meetups always include fun activities. This time, at our booth, we gave away Evrone merchandise and Sber speakers to participants in a Python quiz.
Our event partner was the Faculty of Applied Mathematics, Informatics, and Mechanics at VSU. This meetup is part of a series of events we organize in collaboration with the university. In 2023, Evrone and Voronezh State University signed a cooperation agreement, allowing us to host conferences and meetups for students featuring real industry professionals. Earlier this spring, we organized two conferences on frontend and DevOps, and in November, we’ll host an analytics meetup.
